These topics provide an introduction to user behavior analytics and the cyber security industry, and offer an overview of the SNYPR big data security analytics platform and the common features referenced in later courses.

200 SNYPR Fundamentals

These topics detail the fundamental functionality of the platform, including how to use common features to support the duties of each user role, how data flows from end to end, what packaged content is available out-of-the-box, what special features support compliance, and what functionality is available to maintain day to day operations and platform monitoring.

SNYPR Bootcamp

The Certified Systems Integrator Bootcamp is a combination of the Certified SNYPR Administrator, Content Developer, and Security Analyst.

This course is for information systems integrators need to install and configure SNYPR, integrate data to support the use cases in the SNYPR environment, and manage, monitor, and troubleshoot the platform. It features an introduction to the use case development process and describes the analytics content developers can apply to detect specific threats, and it describes SNYPR’s threat management capabilities from end to end.

In this course you will:

  • Learn how to determine SNYPR deployment options in a Hadoop cluster, install SNYPR on Hadoop cluster, configure Hadoop components, configure the SNYPR application, grant role-based access to the application, define business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, and use the SNYPR eye and monitoring capabilities of the platform to identify and troubleshoot common issues
  • Develop the fundamental skills to identify the use cases unique to your environment, integrate the datasources required to support the use cases, and use the advanced analytics and threat modeling features of SNYPR to develop content to detect the behaviors that indicate a threat

Integration and Content Development Workshop

For data integrators who need to identify and integrate data source to support existing and custom content and content developers who need to use the SNYPR platform to develop use cases to detect the threats to your organization. 

This course features in-depth analysis of the use case development process. It teaches integrators how to import data to support the use cases in the SNYPR environment using existing and custom connectors and describes the analytics that content developers can apply to detect specific threats. Students will also learn about SNYPR’s threat management capabilities from end to end.

For data integrators who need to import the data to support the use cases in your environment.

Develop the skills to identify the types of datasources used in SNYPR and how to configure those datasources to support your use cases. Learn how to use existing and custom connectors to ingest security events from various log sources and enrich the event data with meaningful user, access, asset, lookup, and geolocation.

Path to Certification

The path to certification begins with completing the 100 and 200 series courses. Next, users enroll in a 300 series course toward their selected certification(s). After completing the prerequisites and the selected 300 series workshop or online course, the students will sit an online exam to confirm their understanding of the course material and their proficiency with using the platform to within their selected certification. After successfully passing the exam, students may pursue another certification without retaking the prerequisite courses.

Certified SNYPR users may proceed to the 400 and 500 series courses that offer advanced and specialized training for SNYPR.

Pricing

Securonix learning credits enable flexible purchasing and spending to get the most from our educational offerings.

Each learning credit (LC) provides up to four hours of instruction. Learning credits can be applied to instructor-led on-site* and remote workshops or online courses.

15-50 LCs = $400.00 per LC
51-100 LCs = $350.00 per LC
101-150 LCs = $300.00 per LC
