Addison-based Securonix Appoints General Counsel

Eunice Kim will lead Securonix's legal and compliance functions, along with taking responsibility for improving processes for evaluating growth opportunities and implementing corporate policies that support the company's mission, vision, and values.

Addison-based Securonix, a leader in Unified Defense SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), has named Eunice Kim as general counsel.

In this role, she will lead Securonix’s legal and compliance functions, along with taking responsibility for improving processes for evaluating growth opportunities and implementing corporate policies that support the company’s mission, vision, and values.

“Eunice is a dynamic legal executive, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to Securonix,” Nayaki Nayyar, Chief Executive Officer, Securonix, said in a statement. “Her proven ability in ensuring legal prudence and compliance while fostering hypergrowth at global enterprise software organizations is critical for Securonix at this stage in our journey. Eunice will be an invaluable addition to our executive leadership team, and we look forward to working with her as we enter our next phase of growth.”

With more than two decades of legal and regulatory affairs experience in both the private and public sectors, Kim most recently served as chief compliance officer and general counsel at Access TeleCare, the largest national provider of telemedicine technology and solutions. While there, she helped guide the company — then known as SOC Telemed—through an IPO, completed a number of acquisitions that almost doubled the company’s size, and took it private through a sale to Patient Square Capital.

Before TeleCare, Kim was vice president of legal and assistant secretary at cybersecurity giant Symantec, where she led corporate legal and global employment law teams, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, global subsidiaries, real estate, and procurement legal.

“The business trajectory ahead of Securonix, coupled with its unparalleled history of success, made this a remarkable opportunity,” said Kim. “The depth, knowledge and commitment of the leadership team is unmatched, and it is a privilege to join such a talented group. I look forward to partnering with Nayaki at this critical juncture to scale the business and execute on her vision of protecting global enterprises.”

Securonix offers a platform designed to defend modern enterprises against advanced threats in today’s complex hybrid environments. The company said it recently launched the industry’s first Unified Defense SIEM, providing organizations with continuous searchable data, an integration with Chat GPT that delivers generative AI capabilities in Securonix Investigate and is a repeat honoree in the Customers’ Choice awards in the 2023 Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
