By Nayaki Nayyar, CEO, Securonix
As we wind down 2022 and prepare to recharge with family and friends during the holidays, I want to share why I believe it is an exciting time for Securonix and the cybersecurity industry. While global organizations face increasing threats across a larger attack surface, cybersecurity professionals have an unprecedented opportunity to harness innovative technologies and cost-effective solutions to successfully meet the challenge.
Cybersecurity today is not just a priority for CIOs and CISOs, but also increasingly for public and private boards of directors across all enterprises. Cybersecurity threats are expected to follow an exponential upward trend as data volumes continue to explode and data shifts to both cloud and edge. The Security Analytics and Operations market is expected to grow to meet the challenge, reaching a total addressable market of $25 billion by 2026, a 90% increase over today.
Securonix has an unparalleled history of innovation in cybersecurity, solving the most challenging problems for our customers through an industry-leading Security and Analytics and Operations platform that provides Next-Gen SIEM, UEBA and SOAR capabilities. Securonix pioneered User Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) in 2011 and was the first to bring identity context and machine learning to Security Monitoring. That pioneering spirit is what sets us apart.
In 2019, Securonix further evolved Next-Gen SIEM through our Cloud-Native Security Analytics and Operations platform offering, and in the past 18 months introduced additional key capabilities such as ‘Bring Your Own Snowflake’, native built-in SOAR and Autonomous Threat Sweeper. We are moving beyond features and capabilities to meet modern security teams’ demand for cloud-native, autonomous platform solutions that provide best-in-class analytics and flexible cost-effective cloud deployment models.
Securonix’s leadership is well-recognized. In 2022, the company was named a Leader for the fourth consecutive time in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Gartner also just recognized Securonix among the three highest scoring vendors in all three Use Cases in the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
In the last few weeks, I have had the chance to speak with many of our customers and hear directly from them how Securonix has successfully helped them navigate the increasingly turbulent world of cybersecurity. For many of our customers and partners, this has been doubly challenging because of the cybersecurity talent shortage and they depend on Securonix to provide a scalable and automated solution.
Fortunately, over the last decade, Securonix has compiled a global roster of first-class talent. In just a few short weeks at the company I have come to appreciate what a diverse, collegial, and exciting place this is to work. We are also fortunate to have the support and expertise of our largest investor, Vista Equity Partners, a global leader in enterprise software investing, and strategic partners and investors such as Snowflake Ventures, Verizon Ventures, Wipro Ventures and the company founders Sachin Nayyar and Tanuj Gulati. It is no wonder that we have been able to attract the best and brightest. I am proud to lead the team and excited about where we will go together.
As I look to 2023, I am prioritizing product innovation to deliver seamless, cost-effective security solutions to our growing customer base. Our recent strategic go-to-market partnership with Snowflake enabled more customers to deploy Securonix’s best-in-class security analytics with Snowflake data cloud to achieve threat detection and response at scale. You can expect similar announcements to be coming soon as we focus on deepening our product offerings and scaling our reach.
While we have many exciting opportunities — and a lot of work — in front of us, for now I am taking a moment to express my gratitude and send warm holiday wishes to everyone. Happy Holidays to all our customers, partners, and team members. I look forward to spending 2023 working alongside all of you to address the cybersecurity challenges faced by organizations globally.
