Inglis to bring invaluable insights on insider threat management and security analytics to Securonix and its Customers
LOS ANGELES, June 17, 2014 — Securonix today announced that former NSA Deputy Director John C. (Chris) Inglis has officially joined the company’s advisory board. Mr. Inglis will advise the company on business and technology strategy while helping to educate and guide Securonix customers on the importance and approach of using analytics to proactively win the fight against insider and external threats. “I am passionate about helping to protect the public and private sectors against cyber threats. Given the rapid expansion in the scope, scale and character of cyber threats, data driven security analytics are critical to gaining and maintaining the upper hand in the defense of irreplaceable corporate assets dependent upon cyberspace resilience. As the former NSA Deputy Director, Mr. Inglis served as the Agency’s chief operating officer, responsible for guiding and directing strategies, operations and policy. He began his career at NSA as a computer scientist within the National Computer Security Center.
Promoted to NSA’s Senior Executive Service in 1997, he served in a variety of senior leadership assignments leading up to his selection as the NSA Deputy Director.
A 1976 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Mr. Inglis holds advanced degrees in engineering and computer science from Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and the George Washington University. He is also a graduate of the Kellogg Business School executive development program, the USAF Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and Squadron Officers’ School.
